Wing-Gate Industries (WGI) has over 15 years of  stormwater BMP  experience. We understand that these devices need to function correctly when a large storm water event occurs. Automatic Retractable Screens  (ARS) have to open during a "first-flush" large storm water event, especially when large trash/debris is flowing down the curb.  If the screens do not open, the street will most likely flood which may cause liability issues such as auto or property damage.  Our "Wing-Gate" & "Dual-Action" ARS units are the most efficient curb opening screens in the USA & have been field tested over 8 years in the following states:  California, Hawaii, Florida, Baltimore, Louisiana, Texas & Pennsylvania!  Our ARS screens also have the ability to be manually set into the "opened" position before an extreme storm event occurs. This allows added safety for storm drain catch basins that are just a sidewalk distance away from store front properties.  After the storm subsides, the  screens can be manually closed by lifting up a small lever located on the curb side of the screen.
